Traditional management has two critical flaws when it comes to hiring and training personnel. We apply these same flaws to ourselves further compounding the issue.  Typically our PRIMARY qualifier when hiring people for, beyond entry level jobs, is experience, what we call skill. Rarely do we seek to identify what areas of TALENT the individual has and therefor we never identify the area they are most likely to become most productive in. Talent, that naturally ability to learn, understand and perform at a high level instinctively is the MOST critical factor in predicting success.  We will teach you how to interview better in order to identify talent.  We will also teach you how to better identify your own areas of pure talent as well as those of your current staff. The second flaw in traditional management is how we train. We identify what people are good at and not so good at.  Then we set aside the "good at" stuff and never look at it again.  We focus at the not so good at area forever.  The problem with this is we have forced people to focus only on the areas they are likely not very good at because they lack talent.  When we only focus on areas of weakness we create tension, frustration and almost always raise turnover, while lowering morale, which always lowers productivity.  They key here is ensuring people are
competent in areas of weakness, yes through training, and then spend all other personnel development in the areas they have talent. This same approach will greatly improve your own success as well. When we do this for your organization, in combination with the other 4 keys productivity will soar!
